TO GUARD & PROTECT
Hours:
Our armed private security officers are chosen and go through Advanced Tactical Handgun Training by the Chief of Operations and owner, Bryan Silverson, after a review of their work after 6 months with the company.
Our armed PSOs are trained by the Specialist Research and Training group. The instructor is William Regina. Some of the techniques and skills taught are low-light situations, shooting from cover, shooting on the move, when to shoot, room entry, and precision shooting.
Our private security officers (PSOs) have their fingerprints taken and receive a background check by the local police department. They also have their fingerprints ran by the KBI (Kansas Bureau of Investigations. Our PSOs receive a detailed and extensive interview by the company to make sure they meet all of our standards to become one of our PSO’s.
Our PSOs are taught by the Controlled Force System Form owner, chief of operations and trainer Bryan Silverson who is a Controlled Force Operator. We believe that private security companies should be proactive. Our guards are taught to do sight and threat assessments. They are also taught to read body language to spot things that are out of the ordinary.
These skills will help to spot potential threats before they act. Our PSOs are required to be friendly, professional and effective. We tell our PSOs to control the situation. Whatever our clients hire us for we are confident that our PSOs will have the skill set to effectively control situations that arise and to also protect the client the client’s events, assets and property.
In order to become an armed guard with our company, you have to have worked with us for 6 months. After that we do an evaluation of your work history for the six months you have worked with us. If you score high enough in the evaluation then PSO has to take a basic tactical handgun course.
At the end of the course, there is a qualifying course and if the PSO scores high enough then he or she will become an armed guard. Our PSOs also are required to take more advanced follow-up training such as small team movement and tactics, precision tactical engagement, rapid response team tactics, close-quarter combat and counter-measure tactics.
Our armed PSOs have to be responsible, professional, effective and they have to have good decision-making skills.
